She then transitioned into NICU and pediatric care, working at Liberty Hospital and Children's Mercy Hospital. She graduated from the University of Missouri - Kansas City in 2014 with her master's degree as a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has provided care in underserved communities, urgent care and corporate medicine settings. She has volunteered her time to work with the migrant farm worker community to provide much-needed health services.

The medical industry is undergoing changes in reimbursement to provide improved quality of care while controlling cost. For many years, the model for paying health care providers was fee-for-service, where the provider was paid when the patient was seen. While there is still an element of this, there is a shift toward what is referred to as value-based reimbursement. Under this model, providers are reimbursed on the quality of care that is provided. He is a Board Certified Family Practice Physician, and enjoys all aspects of Family Medicine, particularly Pediatrics and Sports Medicine.
